We are seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinarian to join our team as an In-Home Pet Euthanasia Veterinarian. In this position, you will provide compassionate end-of-life care for pets in the comfort of their own homes. You will be responsible for performing euthanasia procedures in a professional and humane manner while providing emotional support to clients during a difficult time.
Responsibilities:
Perform euthanasia procedures for pets in the comfort of their own homes
Educate clients on the euthanasia process and provide emotional support during the procedure
Ensure that all necessary equipment and medications are properly prepared and ready for use
Follow all ethical and legal guidelines for the euthanasia process
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Communicate effectively with clients and other members of the team
Provide referrals and resources for grief support services as needed
Work as an independent contractor
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and DEA license in the state of practice (PA, NJ, NY)
Active and unrestricted veterinary license in the state of practice
Minimum of 2 years of experience in small animal practice or related field
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
